Intending members are most welcome to attend one of our open nights in March or September to find out what the Society is all about. At other times of the year please contact the Chairman for further information.

Membership Rules:

Subject to item 4.0 of the Constitution the rules pertaining to membership shall be as follows:

New Members: Persons wishing to become members shall make application to an elected officer.

Acceptance of applications and any special conditions attached to same shall be decided by the Officers of the society and one Committee member on a majority vote basis with the chair having a casting vote.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age.

Voting: Only members may vote on society business. However, Guest Speakers, Judges etc. may, at the joint discretion of the Society Officers, be invited to vote on Society competitions.

Subscriptions: Annual subscriptions are payable according to the schedule laid out below. Latest payment dates and minimum payments for existing members are as follows:

50% of annual subscription not later than 1st April, and the remaining 50% not later than 1st June.

For new members a pro rata fee will be payable on the same dates or one month after confirmation of membership whichever is the earlier. Subscription fees not paid on time will mean immediate and automatic termination of membership.

Subscription Rates:

Member = €45 per annum.
Family member (i.e. Son or Daughter who are less than 21 years of age) = €25 per annum.
Special cases * €25 per annum.
* Note in case of extenuating circumstances a member may make personal application to the Chairperson who, after consultation with the Secretary and Treasurer, may grant the special case rate.
